NHS Providers responds to health secretary’s offer to resident doctors

Responding to the announcement, the chief executive of NHS Providers, Daniel Elkeles said:

“This is a really generous offer, which tackles head on resident doctors’ key concerns on training places, money in their pockets, and better working lives. 

“It would be worth a lot to them if they agree to training costs being refunded.

“The ball’s back in resident doctors’ court now. Take this offer seriously and call off next week’s disruptive five-day walkout. There will be no winners if that strike goes ahead.”
